My every dream of rising to the sky,
Gets straggled within a short while!
I try gathering every bit of it, but
Far away I see someone mocking at it.
I scrutinize, I ponder,
Trying to find an answer for this laughter!
The world says after all you are a girl!
And this answer startles me a lot!
A daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife;
I perform every job with all my might!
Tell me what else should I do, to prove myself right?
So that my dream could get the wings for its flight!
My heart wrenches every time
To see my part and value in your life!
But then I console myself saying
After all it’s a woman’s life.
