Dedicated to 2014, a decisive year for politics in India, hoping it brings in peace and harmony into a land that direly needs it.
A story of the land of many colors,
Whose flag was called the tricolor.
The land of wealth and prosperity,
The seat of culture, a confluence of diversity.
Soon saffron and green started fighting,
They forgot there was a white in between.
Swords clashed, flames rose high,
Hatred filled every man, woman and child.
Till the fire died into glowing embers
And the land just had red color.

Very well expressed and titled 🙂 good one arunima… So creative!
Thank you 🙂
Guess we could even say ” Seeking harmony and peace forever”. Seems like you are a modi fan (not that i am anti modi) and of the view that after he comes to power, harmony and peace would be there without asking.
Not a Modi fan and I definitely do not believe that there will be peace once he comes to power. The expression red color in the last line signifies the color of blood. Between the clashes that will be inevitable once he comes to power, the country runs the chances of being left with just the color of blood.
