Tell-A-Tale, in collaboration with Spicesafari, invite all you foodies to an awesome food blogging contest – Cook Me A Tale.
Do you have an interesting story involving your favorite lip-smacking delicacy? A story about the first time you ate it, or the first time you cooked it, the first time someone cooked it for you; a story about the ingredients used, or the place it was made at? Send in the story to us, along with the recipe for the said dish. Do you feel you have a star recipe that has the potential of making the our readers drool? Now cook up a story about it. Is cooking something more than a daily chore for you? Stir the ingredients of your favorite recipe in a story pot and send us the tale.
Share your stories and the respective recipes with us and win exciting prizes!
How to Participate
- Write an interesting short story about your favourite dish followed by a detailed recipe.
- Send your story as a Word document attachment by email to editor@tell-a-tale.com.
- Also, send a brief write-up of up to 100 words about yourself to help us know you better.
Rules of the Contest
- Your entries should ideally be between 500-1800 words excluding the recipe. Entries shorter than 500 words will be rejected.
- You may include an image of the recipe. While sharing the image, clearly mention who holds the copyright of the image and the source of the image. Entries accompanied by images that violate copyrights will be rejected.
- All the entries must be sent by June 26, 2016 11:59:59 PM IST.
- Based on the quality of the story and the accompanying recipe, entries will be shortlisted by our team and posted on our site on June 27, 2016.
- Once your entry gets shortlisted, you will promote it on various social media platforms and earn social votes in the form of likes and shares. Social voting will be open from June 27, 2016 to June 30, 2016. Social votes will be given a weightage of 10%. Rest 90% weightage will be given to the judges’ scores.
- Shortlisted stories will be published along with your biography, so make it interesting.
- Once social voting ends on June 30, 2016, you can re-publish the story on your own blog. Do remember to include the following sentence at the end of your post – “This story was originally written for “Cook Me A Tale” contest on Tell-A-Tale.”
- Only original entries written for the contest will be chosen. Stories attributed to previously published authors will not be accepted.
- Multiple entries (up to 3 entries) are allowed. However, only one will be considered for a prize.
- Judges’ decision will be final and binding on all. No request for reconsidering the judges’ decision will be entertained.
- By participating in this contest, you unconditionally agree that Tell-A-Tale and/or SPICESAFARI is free to reproduce, modify or otherwise use the story and the recipe submitted by you, in whichever way they deem fit.
